Chloroprene rubber, better-known under its brand name neoprene, is a synthetic rubber used, among other things, in the automotive industry and for insulating sportswear.

The material was introduced on the market in 1930 and is, in its vulcanized form, highly resistant to chemicals (for example also to oil) and to embrittlement as well as weather-proof.

Neoprene is tough and robust but also highly flexible. This makes it ideal for an almost slip-free transmission of power and force in fast and strong drive systems. Thanks to their high resistance to wear, neoprene belts are the perfect solution for such applications – also under challenging conditions.

THE SEMI-ELASTIC DRIVE AND CONVEYOR BELT WITH NEOPRENE

The N-5104 is based on a polyester-polyamide carcass and is coated with neoprene on both sides. This gives it a defined elasticity and high flexibility. For the N-5108, cotton is used as carcass material, resulting in a low friction coefficient.
